Accounts Payable Support - PT - Portage County, Ohio

Coleman Health Services is a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs to foster recovery, build independence, and change destinies for individuals, families, and businesses in our community.  We seek an experienced Accounts Payable Support person to work in Portage County, Ohio. This position will be Monday - Friday from 9am - 3:30pm.

Duties of Accounts Payable Support include, but not limited to:

-Use our automated payables system to facilitate vendor bills and purchasing documentation

-Assist with journal entries for month-end close process

-Reconcile long term debt balances to general ledger for month-end process

-Code expense vouchers and enter into payables system

-Responsible for the timely preparation and mailing of outbound checks and EFTs (including printing, attaching necessary documentation, presenting checks for signature, and sending with all necessary detail to avoid penalties and gain discounts)

-Verifying invoices and assembling approval documentation (including purchase orders, signed requisitions and packing slips)

-Prompt preparation of manual paychecks or urgent checks when necessary 

-Make copies of invoices and provide necessary support for billing grants for capital assets that must be entered into the fixed assets system

Qualifications of Accounts Payable Support: 

?At least five years of bookkeeping experience or business school accounting certificate Able to effectively utilize a ten-key for data input into the accounting system

?Working knowledge of month-end closing procedures

?Ability to code expenditures, reconcile and balance accounts

?Credit card and bank reconciliations 

?Experience with online banking, treasury management sites

?Proficient in MS Excel 

?Preferred candidates will have experience with Dynamics Great Plains accounting software
