What are we
looking for from the Compliance Officer?
- Under the direction of the Chief Officer of
Compliance, lead compliance/accreditation review processes and activities
- Interface with certification and regulating agencies
and local boards
- Monitors federal and state policy change and impact
on quality and compliance of services delivered. Contributes to
recommendations made to senior leadership in response to these changes as
it relates to documentation and service delivery.
- Ensure agency maintains a structured process to
measure, assess, and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of services
to identify gaps in service; monitor compliance with state, federal, and
other regulating bodies; and to promote opportunities to improve service
delivery.
- Partners with chief officer, directors, and the
training team
- Engage with clients, family members, staff and other
stakeholders to receive and investigate allegations of client rights
violations.
- Complete, document, and submit various regular
reports, investigations, and/or outcomes to CHS leadership, CHS board, and
county mental health board
- Travel throughout Ohio to various Coleman locations
when needed
What
qualifications will you need to be a successful Compliance Officer?
- Master's Degree in a related field strongly preferred
- At least two years of experience in behavioral health
with quality assurance; compliance and survey/accreditation process
knowledge
- Five years or more of experience in behavioral health
care
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations
related to our services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to
compile and analyze data
- Able to travel to various CHS locations as needed for
accreditation and surveying process, in person meetings and presentations
- Maintain an excellent driving record
Preference
given to the following candidates:
- Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and/or
licensure of LSW, RN, LPC, LPCC or LISW
- Previous experience with CARF accreditation process
