Credentialing Specialist - FT - Portage County, Ohio

Duties include, but not limited to:

·  Works in collaboration with manager to communicate any incomplete information impacting staff start date

·  Serves as quality control expert to ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and thoroughly to ensure timely staff credentialing

·  Works with staff to complete every 90 day CAQH re-attestation timely

·  Completes all individual payer enrollments and communicates with staff and manager on follow up needed, issues or recertification's

·  Follows up and monitors staff changes in credentials due to changes in licensure

·  Manages and updates payer panels in Qualifacts

·  Produces monthly reports and communicates to manager and respective business unit on staff status

·  Works in collaboration with billing department to ensure staff credentialing issues impacting billings are identified and resolved

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and proficient in MS Word and Excel. In addition, this person needs to be a self-starter; able to work independently; able to manage multiple priorities; excellent attention to detail; and able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff, and external contacts. Preferred candidates will have Certified Professional Credential Specialist (CPCS) along with 2 years' experience with the credentialing process and health care industry.
