Crisis Counselor - 3rd Shift FT Trumbull County

We are seeking diligent and responsible individuals to join our customer-centered emergency crisis team of professionals to work with individuals experiencing immediate mental health crises in Trumbull County, Ohio. This position supports intake and triage of individuals served in a local hospital emergency room. This position is based in a local hospital. We currently are looking for a full-time position, 3rd shift. Must also be willing to work some weekends and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis intervention and counseling services to individuals in need.
  • Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate care and treatment plans.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to assist patients in crisis management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Stay updated on best practices and techniques in crisis counseling and intervention.

Must have a Bachelor's degree, LSW and a minimum of one year experience working with crisis services. Prefer someone with a Master's degree in Counseling with an LPC or LPCC, or LISW with two years' experience in working with crisis services. Individual must be willing to work some weekends and rotating holidays.

  • Salary range of $60,000-$65,000 annually based on experience and licensure

Qualifications of Counselor/Therapist LPC, LSW, or Higher:

  • Master's degree and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) required
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
  • Experience working with mental health and substance use disorder preferred
  • Have or willing to obtain NPI and Ohio Medicaid numbers and a CAQH account
  • Have a valid driver's license and maintain driving privileges
