Crisis Counselor (Eastern/Southeastern Stark County) - FT - Stark County, OH

Coleman Health Services is a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs to foster recovery, build independence, and change destinies for individuals, families, and businesses in our community.  We are seeking Crisis Counselors to join our Crisis Services team! This position is located in Stark County, Ohio.

Crisis Counselors at Coleman work to provide crisis intervention and counseling services to individuals in their natural environment, schools, emergency rooms, and various community settings. This is a full-time position as a Crisis Counselor housed at Coleman Alliance office to serve Eastern and Southeastern areas of Stark County including, but not limited to: Alliance, Waynesburg, Minerva, Louisville, etc.

Duties include:

  • Respond to individuals in crisis within Eastern and Southeastern Stark County at the request of police departments, Crisis Center, or other community partners.
  • Engagement, assessment, and trauma-informed behavioral health interventions to foster crisis resolution.
  • Service navigation and linkage, follow-up care, family and community stakeholder collaboration.

ยท  Build and maintain community relationships with community agencies, state behavioral health organization, and local hospitals with behavioral health units. These include but are not limited to Aultman Alliance, Mount Union University, Alliance PD, Louisville PD, Waynesburg PD, Minerva PD, Stark County Sheriff, etc.

  • Function as part of an interdisciplinary team and develop and maintain effective relationship with community professionals.

Qualifications:

-  Master's Degree with current LISW or LPCC licensure

-  Willingness to obtain NPI and Medicaid billing number (we'll help!)

-  Acceptable driving record

-  Must be willing to complete a background check and drug/alcohol screening if selected for the position

Preferred Qualifications:

-  Crisis Intervention Experience

-  Experience with working with law enforcement and/or community partners
