This position is responsible for the day to day activities of the financial counseling staff including, but not limited to, insurance verification, failed claims and activities resolution, and client collections in addition to training and supporting the Financial Counselors team.
Qualified candidates will either have a Bachelor's degree in health and human services degree; a Business degree with a healthcare focus; or seven to ten years' experience in a field related to revenue cycle management; experience with patient access or patient financial services; and experience developing client-centered financial counseling methods, approaches, and employees. In addition, this person must work collaboratively as a team; interact with clients, all levels of the organization, and external stakeholders; exercise balanced judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions; able to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a calm, consistent, and equitable manner; and proficient in MS Word and Excel.
