Drop-In Center Coordinator

Coleman Health Services is seeking a dependable individual to work part-time with people who have a behavioral health disorder. The Drop-In Center Coordinator (DICC)will be working at the Salvation Army Drop-In Center Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., assisting with engaging residents in activities, socialization and advocacy. At times, the DICC will need to work independently to create and/or implement group activities.

Pay: $14.00/hour

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

Duties include:

· Work withe participants in the Drop-In Center, usually between 15-20 people per day.

· Provide information and referral services to individuals accessing the center.

· Complete, with the Drop-In Center Director, a monthly calendar of events and activities for the center’s participants.

· Ensure the drop-in-center is a welcoming and safe environment

· Maintain documentation as required

· Complete a semi-annual inventory of supplies

· Coordinate and facilitate community-based activities for participants

Qualifications:

· Must have high school diploma.

· Able toto engage with persons who are experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns and crisis.

· Effective face-to-face and electronic communication

· Able to exercise balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions

· Ability to create activities for the participants
