an exceptional Kitchen Manager to work part-time days Monday - Friday, 8am -
1:30pm. No nights or weekends! The purpose of the Kitchen Manager
is to manage all aspects of the dining service experience for our participants.

Job Duties of Kitchen Manager include, but not limited to:
- Prepare breakfast meals that meet or exceed the
nutritional requirements for senior adults as determined by the Ohio Department
of Education's Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Area Agency on
Aging.
- Responsible
for the receiving and storage of all meal products for breakfast, lunch,
and afternoon snacks as necessary for the continuation of the meal program
within Adult Day Services.
- Serve
lunch and prepare snacks according to specifications of CACFP and/or
according to the menu supplied by the food vendor.
- Responsible
for ensuring that kitchen area meets or exceeds the minimum standards for
cleanliness as a licensed food service operation within the City of
Ravenna and follow the Ohio Department of Health regulations.
- Maintain
daily meal count, food and refrigerator/freezer temperature logs, and
document breakfast, lunch, and snack food products served.
- Monitor
and give direction to volunteers within kitchen area.
- Work closely with nursing staff to assure proper
preparation and serving of meals/snacks to clients with special dietary needs.
- Ensure
that food items purchased in bulk quantity are marked with date of
purchase, and monitor that food items are used FIFO (First In/First Out).
- Discard
dated food items.
- Clean refrigerator, freezer and steam table
regularly.
Qualified Kitchen Manager will have:
- High school graduate or the equivalent
- Experience with food service
- Able to prepare a large amount of food in a
timely and attractive manner
- Have the physical ability necessary to perform
job duties
- Ability to understand USDA and CACFP guidelines
- Ability to be friendly and patient during
interaction with physically and/or cognitively impaired adults
- Previous experience working with older adults is preferred
- Experience
with ServSafe preferred
