CPA/Senior Accountant - FT - Portage County, OH

We are seeking a full-time, experienced senior-level accountant to join our finance & accounting team, and to serve as a key business partner (i.e., Business Advisor) to our internal and external stakeholders. This position is on-site in our Kent office with the potential of being a hybrid position if able to work independently and effectively!

What are we looking for from a Successful CPA/Senior Accountant?

  • Leverage their strong skillsets and aptitude in business intelligence and financial analytics as it pertains to supporting real-time financial reporting processes
  • Efforts will also involve various elements of Revenue and Treasury Cycle Management to support our core business
  • Strong support of programmatic staff is essential through assisting in the insightful review and interpretation of financial results and budgets and to assess critical areas of improvement
  • Design and procure key financial reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), perform targeted variance analysis, develop, and interpret Business Intelligence data from different repositories and investigate and project manage all types of inquiries
  • Regularly interact with the Board of Directors and President & CEO

Qualified CPA/Senior Accountant candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Either an active CPA permit or currently have an active work plan toward obtaining a permit in the immediate near future
  • At least five years of experience in the finance & accounting field
  • Demonstrated proficiency with applications involving business intelligence, accounting, financial reporting, and consolidations
  • Superb aptitude and proficiency with technology and business processes is a must

The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical approach with a high attention to detail and be a self-starter and resourceful contributor. Big-4 Accounting or Consulting experience as well as hands on experience in accounting of non-profit/healthcare organizations and start up organizations is a plus.
