Shift, Crisis Line Specialist for our facility in Canton, Ohio. Please note, this is an in-office position, not hybrid or remote.
Schedule: M-F with at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) per week.
Hours: 12A - 8A with some degree of flexibility.
Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour depending on combined education and experience
Duties Include:
- Provide crisis intervention, support, information, and referral by phone and/or face-to-face.
- Serve as point person for community constituencies as needed.
- Demonstrate sensitivity, empathy, objectivity, professionalism, effective customer service skills, and sound clinical judgement in the course of all work.
- Complete telephone screening and triage to determine the needs and desires of consumers.
- Build and maintain community relationships with personnel at community agencies, State behavioral health organizations, and local hospitals with behavioral health units.
- Provide crisis intervention via phone for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
- Respond to the Crisis Text Line when assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Three years of experience with mental health services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral health related field
- Certification or similar credentials in crisis intervention, de-escalation, or mediation
- Completion of advanced CIT Training at state or national level.
