Crisis Line Specialist

Coleman Health Services, a nationally recognized nonprofit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs to foster recovery, build independence, and change destinies for individuals, families, and businesses in our community. We are seeking a Crisis Line Specialist in Lima, Ohio. In this role, you will provide crisis intervention support via phone or text.

Job Duties

  • Provide crisis intervention, support, and referrals via phone or text.
  • Effectively complete risk assessments via chat or text
  • Work collaboratively with the visitor to create a safety plan
  • Demonstrate sensitivity, empathy, objectivity, professionalism, effective customer service skills, and sound clinical judgment in the course of all work.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure client needs are met
  • Consult with a supervisor on clinical needs as appropriate
  • Accurately document interactions

Available Shifts

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 4:00 pm -12:00 am. Every 5th weekend required; Weekend shift - 12:00 pm -12:00 am.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to complete and have favorable results for criminal background check and driving check if selected for the position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in crisis intervention.
  • Past or current experience in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and trauma informed care is preferred
