Crisis Specialist

Coleman Health Services, a nationally recognized nonprofit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs to foster recovery, build independence, and change destinies for individuals, families, and businesses in our community. We are seeking a Crisis Specialist to join our team in Ravenna, Ohio where you will assist in client engagement and obtaining needed treatment, including emergency intakes, assist licensed staff with referrals for psychiatric hospitalization and linkage to community services and resources. This is a 3rd shift position, working 4 ten-hour shifts from 10pm - 8am and must be able to work rotating weekends.

Job Duties:

  • Answering calls from the crisis hotline
  • Determine needed clinical services, level of urgency, and appropriate providers; consult with personnel and assist with scheduling as needed
  • Provide supportive and/or basic crisis intervention in person and via phone

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working in behavioral health, crisis experience preferred
  • Clean driving record
  • Have or willing to obtain NPI and Ohio Medicaid numbers
