Operations Generalist - FT - Belmont, Jefferson, Trumbull, Mahoning Counties, Ohio

We are seeking a dependable full-time Operations/Facility Maintenance person for our newest office in St. Clairsville, Ohio, along with working in our offices in Steubenville, Youngstown and Warren, Ohio as needed.

Duties for this position include:

Building Maintenance and Facilities:

  • Assess assigned buildings monthly for safety and maintenance matters.
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedule and ensure preventative maintenance program is conducted.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Within spending authority, negotiate, follow up, and enforce maintenance contracts with outside vendors to ensure the best services with the most beneficial economic impact after review with Director, Operations or his/her designee.
  • Perform the repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of the physical structure of buildings.
  • Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and controllers.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing components, including lavatories, flush valves, water fountains, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps.
  • Maintain light bulbs/change ballasts.

General Equipment and Fleet Responsibilities

  • Support Fleet Manager with vehicles at assigned sites.
  • Read equipment manuals and other sources of information to ensure appropriate operation and repair of equipment.
  • Maintain in good working order tools, equipment, and parts applicable to daily performance of duties.

Safety and Compliance

  • Complete evacuation and safety drills as assigned, and post current certificates for assigned buildings.
  • Learn operation of all monitored-system site locations for fire, mechanical, sprinkler, etc.
  • Respond to calls for resets or action and communicate with vendors to resolve issues.

On-call Responsibilities:

  • Participate in required on-call duties as maintenance/operational support after hours and on holidays.
  • Provide operational staffing back-up coverage as required.

Physical Requirements: This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Routine driving to various work sites in all weather conditions.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, plus three years of work experience in the maintenance field. Working knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft, Excel, and Word. Excellent customer service. Able to work effectively and collaboratively as a team, interacting with clients, vendors, other clinicians, and administrative and support staff. Able to exercise balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions, and to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a calm, consistent, and equitable manner.
