Sr. Grants Officer/Government Funding - FT - Portage County, Ohio

This position is located in Portage County, Ohio, and will specialize in the identification, solicitation, administration, and stewardship of federal, state, and local government grant funders, as well as large national funders, to allow CPS to compete for this type of funding.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

·  Assume lead on complex capital or program grants from government entities

·  Communicate with other grant officers to determine grant assignments, grant requirements, and keep the team on track with the schedule

·  Work with CPS leadership and chief officers in developing funding plans for priority projects requiring multiple funding partners

·  Assist in planning capital campaigns and other large projects requiring grants and targeted donations from government sources

·  Outline Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) and Request for Proposals (RFP); communicate grant requirements to determine project "fit" and competitiveness

·  Assist Management in determining "go/no-go" decision

·  Convene grant teams and maintain reporting and communications with Senior Management regarding status of complex capital or programmatic grant

·  Work with Management and Grants Accountant to endure knowledge o funder-determined qualifications

·  Assist with amendments and help ensure compliance with reporting and documentation

·  Assist Fiscal with funder-based pay-out process and procedures

·  Assist Project Team with development and implementation of the project/program

Qualified candidates will meet the following required criteria:

·  Bachelor's Degree in a related field that uses writing and research

·  3 - 5 years experience in grant writing

·  A "self-initiator" capable of working independently
