Benefits Coordinator - FT - Portage County, OH

If so, consider joining our team!  As the Benefits Coordinator, you will provide day to day support for our benefit programs as well as partner with the Compensation & Benefits Manager to analyze vendor performance, administer vendor contracts, and recommend program changes and enhancements.  This position is based in our Kent, Ohio, office location.

What are we looking for in a Benefits Coordinator? 

  • Serve as the primary contact for plan vendors and 3rd party administrators
  • Assist employees with benefit issues/concerns providing excellent customer service
  • Help to coordinate open enrollment meetings and communication materials
  • Work with auditors to supply timely and accurate data as needed
  • Reconcile bills, update benefit summaries, and provide reporting as required
  • Participate in benefit education for employees
  • Identify and recommend benefits solutions, cost savings, and plan designs

What qualifications will you need to be a successful Benefits Coordinator? 

  • Two plus years' experience in a benefit plan administration
  • Good working knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, and all related federal and state regulations and compliance requirements
  • Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on excel
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Customer service mindset

Preference given to the following candidates:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • PHR or SPHR credentials
