Coleman Professional Services, a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs, is seeking an individual to provide crisis intervention, support, information, referral and follow-up visits with individuals who go to Summa Akron City's Emergency Department. This person is responsible for coordinating care with the emergency department care team to complete level of care assessments, develop collaborative safety plans with the individuals served and their family/significant others, and completing crisis support interventions. This position is located in Akron, Ohio, and needs to be available for 12-24 hours/week including some weekends and rotating holidays.
Minimum requirements include MSW, LSW or LPC licensure, obtaining and maintaining all vaccinations required by Summa Hospital Systems, and obtaining and maintaining Summa Akron City Hospital credentials. LISW or LPCC (must be willing to obtain or already have the following: a NPI number; an Ohio Medicaid number; and a CAQH account); one or more years' experience working in crisis behavioral health care setting; and certifications or similar credentials in crisis intervention, de-escalation, or mediation is preferred. The working location is inside the Emergency Department at Akron City Hospital.
