health and rehabilitation programs is seeking a social
work and/or counseling individual to provide assessment and therapeutic
interventionin various community
settings, working along-side partners with the I Promise HealthQuarters, which include LeBron James Family Foundation,
Peg's Foundation, Akron Public School and AxessPointe.
What are we looking for from you?
- Dedicated
counseling for youth, adults, and families seeking a variety of needs.
- Provide
community-based services at the convenience of the client/family at I Promise
School, Village, Housing, and soon I Promise HealthQuarters.
- Provide
assessment and culturally competent, trauma-informed counseling services for
youth, adults, and family members.
- Connect
individuals and families to ongoing services to meet additional needs
- Work together with a team of
counselors/social workers, case managers, peer support specialists, and the
Director to provide prevention, sustainability, and reduce trauma in youth,
adults, and their family members.
- Become a part of the newest and most
valued service line for the lifespan as we increase awareness and bring hope to
Summit County Youth and their families.
- Be a member of a program striving for
National Recognition, with heavy emphasis on cultural humility and trauma-based
care.
The
Summit County Coleman Team is seeking a new Counselor for The I Promise HealthQuarters that will be a replicable model of integrated care
specifically designed to provide the best outcomes for students and their
families in Akron. The core components of this model are intentional staffing,
cultural humility, and truly integrated healthcare that pulls from lived
experience and social determinants of health.
What
qualifications will you need to be a successful
Counselor (I Promise HealthQuarters)?
- Master's
degree in counseling, social work, or a related field
- Licensed
Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure
- Have
and maintain an excellent driving record
- 2
years experience working in the behavioral healthcare field
- Eligible
or has an NPI number and an Ohio Medicaid number
Preference given to the following candidates:
- Licensed
Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
licensure
- Work
experience with youth and families in community behavioral health or crisis
intervention setting
- Experience
in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care
