We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to be responsible for writing grants that will provide operating and/or capital funds for the organization. The Grant Writer is responsible for finding funding opportunities for Coleman and writing polished proposals to earn grant money.

What are we looking for in a Grant Writer?  

  • Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of Coleman Health Services.
  • Research grant opportunities from government and non-government organizations.
  • Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on funding requirements of the organization.
  • Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
  • Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.

What qualifications will you need to be a successful Grant Writer?  

  • Excellent research and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Grant writing experience with local foundations, state and federal agencies, and corporations.
  • Able to work independently and a self-initiator.
  • Prefer someone with 2 years of grant writing experience.
