This position requires an individual who will live on the premises in Massillon and provide support and monitoring of residents as needed. This position is 24 hours/week and needs to be flexible to include some weekends and rotating holidays.
Direct Care: Work with tenants to achieve their goals and objectives and engage them. Complete new resident orientation and discharge forms on tenants. Provide referral information for community based services. Identify internal and external barriers to all phases of treatment and recovery, and develop strategies to overcome those barriers while promoting self-advocacy. Co-facilitate monthly house meetings and support tenants in conjunction with other CPS staff. Facilitate urine drug screens and follow up on support group meetings.
Operations: Maintain care of the home which may include completing minor repair tasks; ensuring the home's walkways are kept clean; salting and removing snow from sidewalks and porches; and maintaining cleanliness of common areas. In addition, report and complete maintenance requests and coordinate and participate in required safety drills and inspections.
Qualified Candidates: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; must be a Certified SUD Peer Recovery Supporter; and ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds. In addition, must have experience working with individuals with disabilities, punctual and excellent communication skills.
