RN for Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) Full Time - Stark County

We are seeking a dependable and energetic RN to support the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) in Stark County, Ohio. This is a Monday - Friday Day Shift! Our CSU is a 13-bed inpatient facility for both males and females over the age of 18 years old experiencing mental health issues. This position will hold a leadership role in guiding, training and supporting our LPN staff, which includes interviewing, scheduling and holding staff meetings. The RN will take on additional administrative tasks as assigned and be available for on-call after hours to assist in medical questions and clarifications.

Duties include:

  • Coordinating admissions and discharges to and from the CSU
  • Administer, monitor and document medication progress
  • Provide health assessments, consults, and crisis intervention as needed
  • Regularly communicate with our prescribers and local emergency rooms
  • Working as a team with our CSU counselor, case manager, crisis technicians and prescribers to provide the best care and treatment options for our clients
  • On-call responsibilities included
Qualifications:

  • State of Ohio RN licensure
  • Must be eligible for an NPI number and an Ohio Medicaid number

Preference given to the following candidates: Prior or current experience in mental health nursing

  • Prior or current experience in mental health nursing
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule 

This crucial position is available thanks to a nearly $4 million SAMHSA grant that Coleman received to implement Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) in our service areas of greatest need.
