Accountant II

Coleman Health Services is a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs to foster recovery, build independence, and change destinies for individuals, families, and businesses in our community. We are seeking a full-time, experienced accountant to join our finance & accounting team, and to serve as a key business partner (i.e., Business Advisor) to our internal and external stakeholders. This position is based out of our Kent office working Monday through Friday.

Accountant II job will entail:

  • Balance sheet and bank account reconciliations
  • General ledger journal entry
  • Recording fixed assets and depreciation
  • Bookkeeping for entities including entering payables and receivables transactions, running aging reports, reviewing revenues and expenses, etc.
  • Producing and communicating entity financial statements to relevant parties
  • Assisting with annual financial statement audits.
  • Support programmatic staff through assisting in the insightful review and interpretation of financial results and budgets
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualified Accountant II candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • At least two years of experience in the finance & accounting field;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with applications involving business intelligence, accounting, financial reporting, and consolidations; and
  • Superb aptitude and proficiency with technology and business processes

The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical approach with a high attention to detail and be a self-starter and resourceful contributor. Big-4 Accounting or Consulting experience as well as hands on experience in accounting of non-profit/healthcare organizations is a plus.
