Chief Operating Officer - FT - Any Coleman Location

If so, consider joining our team! The Chief Operating Officer (COO) position provides oversight of agency operations, is a strategic thought partner, provides executive leadership and direction for the agency. This position is 100% on-site and has the potential to be based out of any of our Coleman locations.

What is the focus of the Chief Operating Officer?  

  • Oversee the overall operations of Coleman, including service delivery and service support systems.
  • Participate in trade associations and educate managers on statewide trends.
  • Drive the organization to achieve a range of operating efficiencies, including service quality, financial stability, and sustained adaptation to the external healthcare environment.
  • Carry out leadership responsibilities as requested by the CEO, including representing the organization at external meetings, preparing, and making presentations to the Board of Directors or other stakeholders.

Qualifications needed to be a successful Chief Operating Officer:

  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • 7 years of executive leadership experience.
  • Flexibility in working beyond standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as well as participating in prolonged stays away from home/state, and travel commitments.
  • Demonstrated leadership promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organizational culture, along with a profound understanding and appreciation of mission-driven, non-profit entities.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
  • Maintain an excellent driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed LPCC or LISW.
  • Experience working in the behavioral health field.
