The standard shift is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the work can be supported by one full-time or two part-time positions.
Due to the nature of the position, candidates must be able to collaborate effectively with care teams in a variety of medical and healthcare settings, particularly within the Emergency Department. Interaction with patients in crisis means candidates must demonstrate sensitivity, empathy, objectivity, professionalism, effective customer service skills, and sound clinical judgment.
Candidates must have an LISW or LPCC with proven knowledge and skill relative to mental illness, substance use and related dynamics, risk, and diagnostic assessments; therapeutic communication; crisis triage and intervention; de-escalation; treatment modalities; and service delivery systems in behavioral health and related fields. Must have and maintain valid driver's license and acceptable driving status.
