Applications Support Specialist - FT - Portage County, OH

If so, consider joining our team!  As the Applications Support Specialist, you will serve as the primary expert software administrator and applications support resource for the SmartCare EHR/EMR system within the organization. This position is 100% onsite in our Kent, Ohio, office location. The shift will be Monday - Friday either 11am - 7pm or 12pm - 8pm.

What are we looking for in an Applications Support Specialist? 

  • Software administrator responsible for the configuration and application support of the SmartCare EHR/EMR system processes including policy and procedure development
  • Works directly with users and management to develop Statement of Work (SOW) documents and assures proper system integration.
  • Troubleshoots user problems and procedural questions for all users.
  • Manages routine and ad hoc system reports and statistics.
  • Serves as a liaison with all vendors associated with the operations of client hardware and software.
  • Effectively learns and understands an operational area to serve as a bridge between users and vendor/system.

What qualifications will a successful Applications Support Specialist have? 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a software administrator in a computer-related field with an emphasis on application support, analysis , and EHR/EMR.
  • Ability to grasp complex data systems and creatively develop improvements to the systems.
  • Proven leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Expert in MS Office.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
